Job Title: CNC Lathe and Manual Lathe/ CNC Mill AND Manual Machinist

Reports To: Production Manager

Summary: To operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner by performing the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Program, Set-up, and operation of CNC Lathes/Mills

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Program, Set-up, and operation of Haas CNC Lathes/Mills
  • Manual editing & dimensional inspection
  • Part Inspection
  • Operate production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs and verbal and written instructions.
  • Program, Set-up, and operation of CNC Lathes/Mills
  • Manual editing & dimensional inspections
  • Must be able to run Lathe and make parts to prints that are given to you.
  • Make sure parts are deburred and clean before going to inspection.
  • Make sure your area is clean before shift and after shift.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas.
  • Run machines in a safe manner.
  • Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
  • Notify management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulation.
  • Applicant should possess functional and technical skills, attention to details and good judgment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks including fluid and filter checks.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read big print material.

Math Ability:

Ability to apply basic math principles to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: * This is a full-time position for 2nd Shift 2:00pm to 10:30pm Monday - Friday.
