Tungaloy is one of the Leading suppliers of Cutting tools and is currently seeking a Product Manager for their Engineering department. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the Product portfolio for Milling and Drilling tool products for the American Market. The candidate will control the Phase in Phase Out of products, communicate with Parent company for product development by providing market information, competitor information and customer requirements. The candidate will develop strong knowledge on the product offering and provide daily technical support to all Tungaloy representatives, customers, and distributors. They should also have the ability to effectively communicate with Tungaloy employees and customers and the ability to interact with various types of people at different knowledge levels relating to Tungaloy’s product.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to all customers, distributors, and Tungaloy employees. Support includes – but not limited to – troubleshooting problems, product grades, and determining what tooling solutions is best suited for specific information.
• Travel to customer’s, distributor’s, and Tungaloy’s sales personnel’s location to observe the application and to provide on-site technical support.
• Testing applications
• Preparing PowerPoint presentations for training purposes and presenting to group of customers.
• Deciding the appropriateness of a newly launched product for the American market and planning the introduction.
• Deciding the missing products and improvements required in the lineup based on market potential and trend.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Chief Technical Officer.

Work Experience and Skills:

• Minimum college degree in the field of engineering or equivalent experience in the carbide cutting tool industry.
• Machining knowledge on Milling and Drilling products.
• Working knowledge of carbide cutting tools and knowledge on machining and G codes
• Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Presentation skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and understanding of tolerances, finish requirements.
• Prior experience working as Manufacturing engineer would be added advantage.
• Programming knowledge using any CAM software would be added advantage.
• Exhibit mathematical skills to carry out functions of the job.
• Ability to identify cutting tool problems.
