CNC Machinist

Immediate opening, first shift

Naiad Dynamics US, Inc. Shelton Connecticut plant

Responsibilities

• CNC Lathes and/or Milling set-up and operate
• Read G-codes, understand and edit programs
• Setup and perform machine operations on two machines in the work cell
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager

Candidate Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience, 5 years preferred
• CNC Lathes and VMCs set-up and operate
• Experience in a short run production environment
• Must be conscientious, fast and accurate with attention to detail
• Math skills: Shop Math, Trigonometry, Geometry
• Self-motivated, productivity minded and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to read blueprints/engineering drawings and be familiar with measuring instruments and gauges
• Must be quality conscious and be responsible for own work
